Problems to be considered when designing plastic bottles

Manufacturers of plastic molded products need to consider the design of plastic bottles.

 

(1) When designing a pressure-type plastic bottle, if the material is high-density polyethylene and polypropylene, the cross-section of the plastic bottle is rectangular or oval, and the material is low-density polyethylene and other flexible plastic bottles. Make it into a circle. Such content is squeezed out of the plastic bottle. Plastic bottles and plastic parts are mainly bottle caps and sealers. The design of the plastic bottle mouth should be subject to key tests. How can the plastic bottle mouth be tightly closed with the cap and the sealer on the bottom of the plastic bottle? This is the part of the plastic bottle with weak mechanical properties. Therefore, the bottom of the plastic bottle is generally designed like a concave shape. The position of the corners of the plastic bottle and the recesses inside are all too large arcs. Because the accumulation of plastic bottles is very convenient, the stability of the ceiling of the plastic bottles is increased, and the bottom of the plastic bottles has an inner groove.

 

(2) In the case of marking on the surface of the plastic bottle, flatten the reference sticker. A "frame" is designed on the surface of the plastic bottle to be positioned incorrectly without moving. When molding, the first contact part is likely to be the first hardened part. Therefore, the wall at that part will become thicker. The edge and the rotating part are type expansion, and the contact part will thicken the wall of the part. Therefore, the edges and corners of the plastic bottle are designed with rounded corners. If the surface shape of the plastic bottle is changed, the part of the plastic bottle is relatively thinner, which can increase the grooves and ribs around the surface of the plastic bottle, and can improve the rigidity and resistance of the plastic bottle. By strengthening the longitudinal grooves or ribs, the long-term load, sagging or deformation of the plastic bottle can be removed.

 

(3) The printing surface of the plastic bottle is where consumers concentrate their efforts. The printing surface is flat and continuous; if the plastic bottle includes a steering wheel, grooves, ribs and other structures, the design must be careful not to cause inconvenience to the printing operation. Although the oval plastic bottle is strong, the manufacturing cost of the mold is also high. Therefore, in order to ensure the rigidity of the plastic bottle, in addition to choosing a material with high rigidity, the outer shape design of the plastic bottle is used to improve the rigidity and load-bearing strength of the plastic bottle.

 

(4) Many plastics have a notch. Therefore, plastic bottles are prone to cracks and cracks at the front end, the screw root of the mouth, and the neck. Therefore, these parts are designed with rounded corners. For the intersection of the rectangular plastic bottle, in order to support most of the load of the plastic bottle, part of the wall will be thicker, which can improve the rigidity and load resistance of the plastic bottle.
